well since it was so near Red Tomatoes (a shop tat sells cheap toiletries in amk) so i went to get a blackhead remover gel...

then w some persuasion i got a moisturizer too...

wahaha...yups n i blew a good $30 in an hour...

the moisturiser = feels good n smells great too..n can prevent 9 signs of aging lei:)

nope babes i didn buy the whole range...jus the Blackhead Remover Miracle Gel..but simply cant find a pic of it...sad thing is tat my blackheads still looks visible lei...

omg it has been a damn hectic week!!!

jus when i tot FOC was tiring...i was sooo wrong!!!

BS402 was jus like another FOC...we had a one week marathon of lectures n 2 projects to do tgt w additional readings...

*gosh*

but guess wat...it was FUN!!!

the lecturers were super interesting (except 1 confused one who is an interesting person living in a boring shell) who respected our opinion and tots above everything else..even the syllabus! so as usual my batch pple happily fire our way thru while the lecturers look at us in pure amusement n 1/2 of the handouts untouched...wahaha

simply fantastic rite:)

yup yup n as usual lannie's big mouth shoots off w/o the tot process...shocked the 2 interesting lecturers...one of them probably find me a nuisance in class who hates h/w...while the other probably finds me a super thick-skinned person who is "moron intolerant"...wahaha..

n the best thing is tat both lecturers were so unconventional that find my frankness perfectly fine!!! *phew* if they realli bear a grudge on me...i pity my group mates...wahaha

realli enjoyed the course despite the heavy workload n hectic schedule...coz for once i understood wat the lecturers are tokkin abt completely n even understood the rational of wat they are doin...

mayb tats the prob of studying for too long...u end up psycho-analysing ur teachers...

wahaha...

another reason y i enjoyed myself was realli my project grp (suck up time?wahaha...mayb...)
they are really very enjoyable to work w...all the crazy ideas n we dun shove work to each other but help one another...do our part...super fast n efficient pple:)

1st FaLo outing!!!aRTS fEST summary

yep today i jus went for the 1st ever 2007 FaLo outing!!! we went to marina sq'a k-box n boy was it big! we almost got ourselves lost w 5 "guides" to bring us to our room...well though only 5 pple turned up (lannie, guo zhen, rebecca n gavin aka zhang ah liang aka roach n jia liang joined us much later)...IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! omg!!! guo zhen n rebecca were such good singers omg...can join idol/绝对superstar...n gavin was so damn farnie lar...after he joined us none of us could finish singing a song w/o laughing lo!!! so nxt time if there is another ktv outing those who dun K have no excuse ler...even if they dun sing they can always come n watch show!!! haha...

well after today's outing, i suddenly feel the "arts fest void" again...though i noe tat 天下无不散之宴席...i cant help but feel very lost...mayb coz im too free ler (unlike last yrs where i was busy w sch camps)...so i think i should do a proper blog entry on the arts fest to finally conclude it:)

this is one really fun grp from belgium:) comprising of Jean Francois n Jean Paul who hates shopping n loves to experience new n interesting stuff in sgp...n boy do they love to play tricks on us! as Jean Francois is the one who knows how to speak english...he is the notty one who keep playing tricks on us...from asking us to do funny things to pulling dustbins to block our way...this grp always manage to put a big smile on our faces:)
well coz we always have a break btw shows, we always play host n bring the grp round...chinatown lar, bugis (for 麻辣锅 can) and even toa payoh (we even went up a HDB flat to look at the view)...they are really fun...n of course it gave me to chance to have to chance at the LO job:) so fun!

Family Funfest
this have to really be the most "eye-opening" event man...gosh cant believe how BAD sgporeans behaviour can get! fighting for free balloons, leaving of litter n even verbal abuse for stuff tat we are unable to control! wth...sometimes i really cant help but wonder y...arent we suppose to be a gracious society? *sigh*
well the happy thing is tat i met my brudder (Xin He) there too!!! he brought his sisters down to see:) haha...his youngest sis is so young tat it looks like his daughter:)

thou was w them for 1 show only they left a deep impression...not bacause of wat they did but more of wat Jean Francios did...haha...Jean Francios told us tat it was one of the grp members b-day n of course nice lannie bought n cake n wrote a card on Jean Francios n Jean Paul's behalf...n guess wat...Jean Francios pulled a fast one on us!!! the guy's b-day was in Feb lo...lol...well we celebrated nontheless n even sent the fotos to Jean Francios:)

Tooth n Claw

this grp is made up of 2 very nice n funny ladies from Melbourne..like typical women they totally planned out all thier break time w loads of activities so we didn realli go places w them...but they are super sweet..on the last day of performance they actually bought us souvenirs n wrote us cards!!! n of course all my tao-taos were so jealous coz the grp bought us cute dino toys tat growled:) *happy*
n i HAVE to mention the interesting topics raymond (my partner), Jean (the LO) n me tokked abt during our breaks...wahaha...tats realli the highlight of the day...esp the topic on butt-watching:) really enjoyed it to the max!!! its really how amazing how things can turn out to be..esp when the person we were gossiping abt was the officer on duty tat night...hahaa..really cant tok bad abt pple...wahaha...

Closing celebrations

hahaa...this have to be my most memorable assignment for the whole arts fest:)
the colleagues were fun...like Gavin, Rebecca, Guo zhen, Jean, Wan jing, Zilong, Jia Liang n jus to name a few...the bosses were wacky...like Nal, Ben n Carolene...the artistes were super warm n friendly...like Benhart (once he starts he cant stop..tokkin!)

though this yr's closing had more stuff to do...we FAs really worked hard n played hard man!!! i really have to say im so proud of the team tis yr...many of us realli put in effort to get our stuff done in a swee-swee manner...Well Done pple!!! n not to mention all the gossips we exchange!! n how we stood against the Fisherman...haha...though its a pity we have to part as we jus start to bond...*sobx*

n how can i forget to mention the "sway" shen? haha...during this assignment man i see him damn alot...so as u probably guessed, i met w LOADS of sway events...but very fortunately my colleague gavin gave me his name card which has an additional 避邪 function...n i must say it really works!!! haha...my luck improved tremendously w it:) fewer stupid accidents nor weird pple coming up to me...wahaha...

well i mus say this assignment realli taught me alot on how to deal w pple n work w them...if u think being a ka kia is easy...think again...i was thinking on how to "perfect" wat i do so much tat i prolly had much grey hair!!! haha...yeah it jus my ego...dun like pple to critise wat i do or my brain:) but luckily in the last few days of work i could feel tat my effort paid of...wahaha...managed to prove some pple wrong!!! *爽*...i cant help but add tat i still dun understand how 3 guys can charge 16 walkies n lose one??? n y does it look like it was 1/2 hidden when i found it?...*scratch head*...think i'll stick to my theory...wahaha...

yeah...on the last day of work when we had to part...一股感伤冲进我心中 (i started to feel emotional)...went to hug all my bosses (except "sway" shen who was not comfortable w it n neither was i so we awkwardly jus shook hands)...probably its the entire atmosphere coz this yr there was no party n everyone jus left when everything ended...i neva liked such endings...mayb coz of influence of my drama teacher i always like to end things w a blast n have everyone leave w happy memories...

yep really accumulated loads of memories this Arts Fest n not to mention learnt from it..very unluckily i forgot to bring my monster-of-a-camera to the last day n couldn get a few fotos...mayb its fate tat i have to rem everything in my head instead:) nontheless i shall strive to org another FaLo outing n get a few fotos to make up for this regret...haha...must rem to take fotos w my darling guo zhen esp:)

yeppie...had a break for 4 days rite...yar went out loads w loads of pple:)

wed: stay at home n slack....then went to swim n almost broke my back...coz i forgot i got backache!!! haha still go swim butterfly n end up looking like a drowning fly instead!!! *heex*

thurs: out to ubin w GW...well literally dragged him there coz i wanna see how is the place like (yar i neva been there b4...) coz had a senior who did his FYP there...n i mus say OMG my senior is really cool lar...it mus have been such a tough FYP...*respect!*
n of course we ate alot of yummy food at changi food centre...luckily we didn have too much lunch coz the boat ride there was so bumpy tat will get sea sick if u had ate too much b4...haha...

fri: outing w T4 gang...we had yummy burgers at carl's junior...now i finally noe y the guacamole burger is not meant for dates...coz they r truly messy!!! then we skipped to cafe cartel for lousy service n okie cakes...should have went CA instead lo...lucky for them since it was a gathering none of us really flared up...if not it might had been cafe cartel no more man!!! hahhaa

sat: after tuition w slpy vinodth...i went for a supposed movie outing w ruthie n faithie...but instead we went to eat eat n eat!!! omg since SC days we always go out to eat...n now after so many yrs nothing much really changed:) yuppie all of us were tired n slpy coz both gers had work tat day n lannie is goin to work tmr...so yar...work blues i guess...nontheless we fixed a date to eat at indochine nxt tues:) yay yay yay!!!
at bout 8 plus (while i was thinking of my bed...) Guo Zhen called me...n tada i ended up at lao ba satt @ 9.30pm!!! (as ruth n faith make their way home...*bring me w u*)...yuppie i went down got the stuff from Guo Zhen n leave? no~~ i ended playing FOC games w the grp the FAs n NAC staff were eating w!!! haha...they were so fun!!! i can imagine how much fun Guo Zhen n Zilong mus have had w the grp!!! well there was one of them w such long hair in dreadlocks n OMG was he cool lar!!! while i was asking him abt his hair, another of his grp member let down his hair n OMG his was silky shiny black long hair (to his bum mind u) tat was so well maintained!!! envy!!! yar...he told me his secret to it but i cant rem the 1st shampoo's name (shuckx...there goes my silky smooth long hair)...well heard from Han Juan tat my grp tmr is fun too...cant wait:)

my 1st week of Arts Fest!

yeah! my 1st week of Arts fest is finally over!!! really wanna thank Han Juan who scheduled a 4 day break...coz i really needed it!

generally wat i do for big shows is to pick up litter, empty the bins, crowd control, ans public's Q n do the job assigned to me...as for AOTM...all i have to do is to carry bottled water n stuff in my backpack n march down Orchard Road w a T-signage w the performers:) yuppie

n my week was a long n tiring one...

day1= opening (media preview)

well its a nice day (jus really hot one) with members of the media n loads n Ngee An mass com students down to watch. the grp performed 2 scenes (the wheel n human net) n we had fireworks:)
really looking forward to the actual opening the nxt day:)

day2=opening day for arts fest

wow...i was guarding the VIP stand n man sgporeans r really creative when its time to ask for seats..haha...well saw loads of VIPs like Lee Boon Kee (minister of the arts/culture), Ambassador of Spain, Qi Yun Wu n many more whom i dun noe of...security was real tight w so many of them lookin like bouncers...so me n my fren self proclaim ourselves as door-bitches...wahaha...once again the show was great n ended w a bang (fireworks mah)...after work met up w GW, JJ n YZ for a drink @ Paulander (or as YZ pronounce: Hollander...wahaha..justifying our "holand" route to walk there)...n found out Long ge's new beginning:) Congrats bro!!! n thx to the 2 drivers of the night GW n YZ:)

day3=1st day of AOTM (which is taking up the most of my time)

well things was fun for AOTM coz we started w a real fun grp!!! Les Essentials Street Theatre Co was a bunch of really nice french guys w huge noses..haha..as props lar!!! after lunch w my supervisors n *tada* i've volunteered for opening again coz they need pple!!! yesh so after my real hectic day from ATOM (coz i forsake break to sort out stuff w my boss n redid a sign i needed to carry) i went down to padang for opening.
man it was worth it!!! the show was great n the fireworks was *wow*!!! then i asked my boss if she needed me tmr coz i have a father's cousin's son's wedding tmr (shark's fin vs fireworks)...n she told me: "u said fireworks last mah...so work tmr lo:)"...haha...my boss have such great humour...well since its her who asked yeah man one more day @ the opening for me:)

yeppie man...clumsy lannie realli cannot handle the portable amp down Orahard Rd...almost fell over it lar...luckily my boss say he can change it for me *yay!* if not i sure cui...haha...Moving Arts was the 1st grp n boy were they cute!!! imagine sheep accompanying you on ur train ride:) the nxt grp was the french guys again...n once again they won the crowd over totally...they are so funny!!! omg...
but i must admit all the work is getting me real exhausted...i had no appetite to eat n keep having diarrhea...n by the time i reach padang tat night actually i was feeling a bit giddy...so i end up slacking more than real working my 100%...coz i rather be caught slacking n fainting rite!
yar...n when Guo Zhen (my dear colleague) told me bout pple being assigned to do clearing up tat nite i wished it wasn me coz i wanna rest...n guess wat is should have bought 4D man...i was involved too!!! *gosh* but after downing some 100 plus n water lannie was back to work!!! boy was it confusing coz i was there for unloading for the stuff...but all went well as we managed to pack everything fast n get everything back in the office by ~30min:) great job pple!!! n manage to get a ride from my boss n got some well deserved rest (n 1.5h' worth of pay more)...for the 1st time in many years i find plain biscuits n milo so yummy! coz didn wanna have diarrohea tmr so had some light snack in place of my missed dinner...n yeah it really helped:)

last day for the french grp ler...super sad...so planned to have lunch w them
n while they prep for the show, paragon security came out to inform us we cant use the space! after like 3 days of using tat place now then they inform us...luckily i had my supervisors w me to work out something w my boss while i tried to "teh" the security to buy some time...it must be the youngest supervisor who brought us "bad luck" coz nothing of such happened b4 he came...hahahah...*joking*...after the performance we retreated to the new resting spot but walked the wrong way there!!! omg...the grp cont to perform while we tread dangerous grd...w me n the youngest supervisor breaking out into cold sweat...everyone else seems entertained incl my boss who came down to see!!! tat was the longest 10min walk i ever had man...luckily no security came n so everything went well:)
later me n my colleagues had lunch n coffee w the french grp...they are so funny n nice!!! n they invited us to go dancing w them (aka cheonging) despite "cheonging" w my bosses the night b4...wahaa..
after the last performance tat day n handed over my stuff to Guo Zhen i went far east shopping w my sisters...n OMG..so many nice stuff...n coz i was going dancing, i got myself a nice off shoulder top n new shoes:) nope lannie is not rich...jus those were stuff i wanted anyway so i buy lor:) @ bout 1030pm, i left my sisters who were nice enuff to have dinner w me n bring my heavy bag home...n yuppie i went CHIMES to meet the rest n go DANCING!!!
n guess wat, tues is a so NOT cheonging night can!!! no club is open!!! so we went w much dispair along clark quay in search of a place open at bout 12.45am...(though they found clark quay touristy, but we had no choice)...we landed ourself at da pump room for beer. n guess wat they had a small but cosy dance floor n was playing cheong songs n even a live band!!!(plus it was non-smoking w/in the place!!!) after chatting for a while, we decided to go in n dance...n boy can the french guys dance!!! (well no surprise coz they are performers)...hahaa..we had so much fun (except 1 of them coz he found it all too european for his pleasure) n even danced cha-cha to Micheal Bluble!!! haha...but coz everyone was tired we left at bout 2am.
sigh..really will miss this grp!!!

n yuppie b4 u guys all fall aslp after reading the really really long n brief (seriously! i cut out loads of details ler) pos..here are some picz i stole off the arts fest webbie:

this is our opening show...man was it grand...GW n JJ all wanted to volunteer for the human net...yuppie it was on all newspapers after the 1st day of the opening coz its all made up of volunteers (incl 1 of my fren Chris!!!)

omg...within a short 3 days i actually spent $150!!!

how i do tat? jus bought a few items...

1) 1/2 a mth supply of acuvue dailys...for one who rarely wear contacts..think its a necessity for inflammation free eyes..n my usual optician gave me a discount...$40 for 1/2 mth..yay!

2) Escada Pacific Paradise!!! yesh i've been wanting this for MTHS!!! n finally (w news tat Escada mayb discontinuing this scent) i finally went to get it @ chinatown n got a bargain! $52 for 100ml:)

3) n of course CLOTHES...all from the online webbie i posted eariler on...cant wait to get them:) hope i can fit in them *fingers crossed*...any hunk wanna ask me out??? hahhaa...
